Can an abusive childhood lead to Bipolar later in life?

So I was beaten and fed pills until the age of 7 by my step dad and mom and since then I've had incidents of being bullied, people dying, and other things. I was wondering if this can lead to bipolar? I am in my early 20s and seem to have the rapid cycling.
